Laura (Genie Francis) and Sonny (Maurice Benard) have a very nice relationship, which is why she called the mobster when she found a dead Dalton (Daniel Goddard) in her trunk. Unfortunately, that decision led to Sidwell (Carlo Rota) blackmailing them both and controlling every move they make.
It was touching when the mayor brought up her deceased ex-husband when chatting with Sonny, who was close with Luke, about their predicament. Sonny advised her to “look at all the angles and just make sure to stay one step ahead” of Sidwell. Laura looked at her friend and said that he sounded like Luke. She went on to say, “That night I found the body in my car, I was scrolling through all the contacts in my phone, you know, trying to think who I can call about this.
