General Hospital Wednesday, September 30 Recap: Drew & Ava Behind Sonny’s Setup – Scout Spies on Scheming Dad

General Hospital (GH) recap for Wednesday, September 30, reveals that Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and Ava Jerome (Maura West) were confirmed to be the scheming duo responsible for Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) frame-up.

Scout Cain (Kayden Brenna Tokarski) also caught a glimpse of something she wasn’t meant to see involving her father.

At Drew’s place, Ava came over and learned the plan worked since Sonny was getting blamed for the Pentonville attack.

Unfortunately, Drew admitted there was an unexpected complication since Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) was Jenz Sidwell’s (Carlo Rota) cellmate and got tangled up in the attack, too.

Ava flipped out since that was Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) father, but Drew pointed to the bright side since Curtis was a more credible witness than Sidwell.

There was some talk about it being Ava’s idea to set Sonny up, but she reminded Drew that he went along with her plan and paid Vito (Sam Duffy).

Once Vito came along, Drew and Ava scolded him since Curtis wasn’t supposed to get hurt.

If Vito wanted the rest of his money, Drew and Ava warned that he’d need to disappear as planned. Ava also implied that Sonny would end Vito if he stuck around.

At Sonny’s house, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) came rushing over since the issue sounded urgent.

After Sonny revealed the attack drama at Pentonville, he asked if Jason ordered it.

Jason insisted he’d never do something like that without Sonny’s approval.

Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) thought it was clear that Vito betrayed Sonny, especially now that he was nowhere to be found.

Sonny wanted to figure out who turned Vito against him, but he needed Curtis to retract his statement in the meantime.

At GH, Ric visited Curtis to deny Sonny’s involvement and urge him to tell the PCPD that he was confused before. Curtis insisted Sonny was guilty and refused to take his statement back.

Outside the Quartermaine boathouse, Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) bickered with Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) about Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke) deserving to be sent away.

After Rocco snapped that Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) would send Danny away too if she were alive, Danny decked him.

After more blows were delivered on both sides, Danny warned Rocco to stay away from him as well as everyone in his family and took off.

At Aurora, Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) opened up to Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) about her tricky situation with Scout Cain (Kayden Brenna Tokarksi) since she asked her to keep secrets from Drew, but Michael reassured her.

In Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) office, Scout showed up wondering if Charlotte could face legal charges for the trap she tried to set against Drew.

Alexis wound up suggesting Drew’s actions drove Charlotte to do what she did, so Scout felt like her grandma hated Drew and was determined to take anyone else’s side.

Scout stomped off before Alexis talked to Molly about her attempt at honesty blowing up in her face with Scout.

Molly and Alexis worried that Scout would blab to Drew about what happened with Charlotte, which could give Drew yet another reason to keep her away from Sam’s family.

At Aurora again, Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) filled Michael in on Sonny being responsible for what happened to Curtis.

Michael was puzzled over the situation and wanted to quiz Sonny about it.

Jordan was hopeful about getting Curtis into Spring Ridge, but Michael suggested that his attorney could deal with that.

Although the timing was bad considering Curtis just got injured, Michael shocked Jordan with the news that he got her an appointment with Dr. Muller at the clinic in Baden-Baden.

Jordan needed to go there next week for her chance at having her scars removed.

Back with Danny, he arrived at Sonny’s house while Jason was still there.

Danny got some ice for his hand and discussed his fight with Rocco, which left him feeling like their bond was broken beyond repair.

As for Rocco, he sulked outside the Quartermaine boathouse and refused Scout’s attempt to video chat since he was so banged up.

Rocco called Scout back and claimed he didn’t answer her video call because it was dark outside.

After Scout vented about her argument with Alexis, she whined about no one ever giving Drew a chance and seeing the good in him.

However, Scout suddenly got a reason to doubt Drew when he stepped out of the house with Ava and Vito.

That gave Scout an opportunity to spy from around the corner as the trio wrapped up their scheming session.

General Hospital spoilers say Scout may gain a new perspective on Drew once more details come to light, so stay tuned.
