Gio has made his choice. On Wednesday’s General Hospital, he and Emma started apartment hunting, and Gio told Tracy the real reason he can’t stay under Sonny Corinthos’ roof any longer.
“I can’t stay at Sonny’s any longer”
Gio and Emma were scrolling listings (air conditioning: must-have; parking: essential) when Tracy walked in. Gio and Emma are moving in together, and Tracy — after noting they’re “both too young” — gave her blessing: “Anything to get you out of Sonny’s.”
Then Gio stopped her. “You deserve to know the truth.” Curtis, he said, told Trina that his grandfather ordered three men to attack Jenz Sidwell — and Curtis got hurt trying to stop them. Does Gio believe it? “I do. Which is why I can’t stay at Sonny’s any longer.” Tracy: “I think you made a wise decision.”
Gio even apologized to Tracy: “You’ve been telling me all along that there’s another side of Sonny. You tried to warn me and I refused to listen.” Tracy’s reply was gentle — “The pain that you’re feeling now, that’s what I was trying to protect you from.”
Tracy’s “I told you so” moment
The second Gio stepped away to take a call, Emma gave Tracy permission: “Just say it before you pop.” Tracy didn’t hold back: “I told you so. I told you so. I told you so.” Then, more seriously, Emma thanked her for not saying it to Gio’s face, and Tracy promised to keep biting her tongue “for as long as it takes.”
It’s not just Gio
Elsewhere at GH, Elizabeth and Lucas agreed that Sonny’s involvement in the Sidwell attack “just makes the most sense” — and worried about what it’s doing to Dante.
What Gio hasn’t done yet
Here’s the catch: Gio hasn’t told Sonny he’s moving out. “I’m not quite ready to tell my grandpa,” he admitted to Emma. “He’ll know I’m doing it because I believe he’s responsible for what happened to Curtis.” And: “I wish I didn’t care about hurting Sonny, but I do.”
This week’s spoilers point to Sonny fighting back for his family: on Thursday, Carly stands by Sonny, and on Friday, Sonny reassures Gio (Entertainment Now). Whether that reassurance changes Gio’s mind is the question.
