General Hospital: Carly Gloats Over Drew’s “Stroke” Exposé — Then Ava Tells Drew to “Bury Willow”

General Hospital: Carly Gloats Over Drew's

General Hospital recap, Thursday, October 8, 2026

Drew walked into Carly’s office on Thursday complaining about the valet. He walked out having learned that the whole world now knows his wife drugged him for months — and that Carly is enjoying every second of it.

“You really didn’t have a stroke”

Drew opened with a jab about the parking — “Why am I always waiting so long for my car?” — and accused Carly of having the valets park it in the furthest spot. Carly just laughed. “Your timing is impeccable,” she said. “You really didn’t have a stroke.”

Drew had no idea what she meant. “You haven’t read Lulu’s article from The Invader,” Carly realized, and turned her monitor around. The headline: “MOTION DENIED! CONGRESSWOMAN GIVES HUSBAND PARALYTIC DRUG FOR MONTHS.”

Drew was blindsided. “This article was supposed to be a profile of my recovery,” he said. “Lulu said that she was going to highlight my incredible journey back to health.” Carly’s answer: the recovery is in there — “but so is the part that your sweet and innocent wife put you in the wheelchair by using her paralytic that she got from Jenz Sidwell.” Drew claimed Lulu “got permission to speak to my doctors under false pretenses,” and called the piece “tabloid trash.”

“Just how delicious it is”

Carly wasn’t sorry. “For me, this is poetic justice,” she said, listing Sidwell’s crimes — “kidnapping Sasha, shooting my brother, and most recently, taking Ada Turner hostage” — and then Willow, “our revered congresswoman,” who “hooked up with the lowest of low to take you down.”

She told Drew the story had “gone viral,” and admitted what she was really thinking: “Just how delicious it is that you were stuck in a wheelchair for months.”

Drew pushed back hard: “I was a prisoner in my own body. I wouldn’t wish that on my worst enemy. It’s kind of sick that you’re enjoying it so much.” Carly delivered one last twist of the knife — “You now get to reprise your favorite role, victim,” and if Willow gets kicked out of Congress, “you just may get your seat back.” Drew walked out: “This conversation isn’t even worth my time.”

Ava’s plan: “Bury Willow”

Drew took the article straight to Ava at the café — and this is where it gets dangerous for him. According to Soaps.com’s recap, Drew is worried the article links the same drug to Jack Brennan’s disappearance, and he fears that if the PCPD investigates, Ava will be found to be the last person who saw Brennan alive. Soap Opera Digest’s recap likewise says Drew fears the implication about Brennan could reopen the investigation into the WSB chief’s disappearance.

Ava’s solution was simple: Drew should confirm Lulu’s article. As Soap Central quotes her: “The best bet for this to go away is to bury Willow.”

Willow’s side: “Drew is the proof”

Across town, Willow told Britt she’s terrified of exactly that. “Drew is the proof. I mean, he can confirm most of what Sidwell said, and he hates me so much. I’m afraid he’ll do it.” Britt wasn’t so sure: if Drew confirms the story, “his whole Master of the Universe image is completely shattered” — the world would know “his wife hated his guts enough to drug him… and he had no idea.” Willow’s verdict: “I don’t know what’s bigger, Drew’s ego or his need for revenge.”

What’s next

Drew now has to choose: confirm the article and bury Willow, as Ava wants, or stay quiet and protect his ego. Entertainment Now’s spoilers for Friday, October 9 say “Britt offers a lifeline” and “Dante’s investigation hits a roadblock.”
