General Hospital recap, Thursday, October 8, 2026
Curtis got two shocks on Thursday. The first: a lawyer he’d never met says she can win his appeal. The second came after they shook hands — “Jordan’s my sister.”
Jordan’s choice: Baden-Baden or Curtis
The day started with Jordan at Curtis’s hospital bedside. He’s still being watched for a liver contusion and broken ribs after the Pentonville attack, and a guard at the door won’t even let her bring coffee. Jordan finally told him her news: “Michael worked some magic and he got me an assessment at the clinic that treated him” in Baden-Baden. The catch — the only open spot is now. “If I don’t take it, the waiting list is at least 3 years long, if I’m even still eligible for facial reconstruction at that point.”
Jordan offered to cancel. Curtis refused to let her: “You can’t give up this opportunity or wait three more years. You have to do this.” Jordan pushed back — “If the situations were reversed, would you leave me?” — and admitted she’s afraid of him going back to Pentonville: “It’s way too dangerous.” Curtis told her he’s “working on it.” In the end, she gave in: “I’ll do it.” Later, at the Quartermaine mansion, she told Michael: “I’m in. I’m ready to go to Baden-Baden tomorrow.”
Enter Monet
Then Monet showed up — the attorney who had left her card with the head nurse. Curtis didn’t trust her: “Some lawyer I don’t know walks in off the streets says they want to represent me after I’ve already been convicted. That not only sounds suspicious, it sounds too good to be true.” His terms: “Tell me what angle you’re working or you can show yourself out.”
Monet’s pitch was specific. “I’ve gone over your trial transcript with a fine tooth comb,” she said. The judge, when she instructed the jury, “made a few errors. I believe the cumulative impact of those errors was prejudicial to the defense and violated your rights to due process and a fair trial.” Most defendants “seldom have a chance at winning” an appeal, Monet told him. “You, on the other hand, have a very, very good one.”
She laid out the road map: win the appeal, get a new trial with a different judge — and there, Curtis’s actions at Pentonville, “heroically stepping in to save a prisoner from an attack and risking your own life in the process,” would “almost certainly reflect favorably on you.” When Curtis said he’d pass her information to his own lawyer, Monet didn’t hold back: “You mean the lawyer who’s the reason you’re serving a prison sentence right now?” Her closer: “If you want to have any chance of winning your appeal and getting a new trial, you go with me.”
Curtis took the deal. And then: “You know, there is just one more thing… Jordan’s my sister.”
Who is Monet?
Monet isn’t only working for Curtis. Earlier on Thursday she was at the café with Chase, going over the papers for his legal separation from Brook Lynn — until Tracy’s text about Lulu’s article pulled Chase away. TV Insider reported that GH cast Blythe Howard as Monet, “a lawyer with an ‘unexpected connection’” — and now we know what it is.
What’s next
Jordan leaves for Germany tomorrow, so the timing of Monet’s reveal raises questions: does Jordan know her sister is now Curtis’s lawyer? Entertainment Now’s spoilers for Friday, October 9 say “Portia makes her loyalties clear.”
