Lulu’s story in The Invader ran last Thursday under the headline “MOTION DENIED! CONGRESSWOMAN GIVES HUSBAND PARALYTIC DRUG FOR MONTHS.” By Friday, Justine had decided the PCPD could take the case. So what do the police actually have on Willow? Here is everything that has aired so far, item by item.
1. Sidwell’s interview with Lulu — and his U-turn
The article says Sidwell supplied the drug. On Friday (Oct. 9), Dante asked him about it. Sidwell’s answer: “Lies. Nothing but lies.” Earlier, he told Britt that Lulu “came in here. She was dressed in a nurse’s uniform, which I thought was very strange,” and that he “wrote it off as a hallucination” from his painkillers.
The hole: the only on-the-record source is now denying it. Chase called him “the guy in the prison jumpsuit — not exactly a reliable witness.”
2. Anna confirms the drug exists
Anna was asked whether the WSB has a drug that “could present as a stroke and lead to locked-in syndrome.” Anna: “They do. It’s a cocktail of FDA-approved drugs and specialized non-FDA-approved drugs. It was developed by the military.” Could Sidwell have gotten it? “He had someone acting as his inside man at the bureau. So yes, he could have.”
The hole: Anna says the WSB won’t chase it — they “don’t want anyone knowing that the bureau developed this drug.” Justine’s answer: “It’s our case if we want to pursue it.”
3. Britt’s medical doubts
On Thursday (Oct. 8) Britt told Willow: “I’m a doctor, okay? The medical facts surrounding Drew’s stroke and locked-in syndrome never added up.” On Friday she pressed Sidwell: “Callum got it for you, didn’t he? And he must have taken that drug from the WSB.”
The hole: Britt is advising Willow to say “there’s no truth to Sidwell’s allegations” and ignore the story.
4. Willow’s own words — said in private
Thursday, alone with Britt, Willow said Sidwell “didn’t have to twist my arm very” much, and that “in exchange for the paralytic, he wanted me installed in Drew’s seat in Congress.”
The hole: that was a private conversation. Only Britt — and the audience — heard it.
5. Drew himself
Willow told Britt her biggest fear: “Drew is the proof. He hates me so much. I’m afraid he’ll do it.” Drew has not spoken on the record yet; Justine even asked why the article had no quotes from Drew or Willow.
6. Lulu’s sources
Chase wants Willow to sue Lulu and The Invader for libel and “demand that Lulu turn over all the evidence that she supposedly has.” Willow’s reply: “She’s already got Sidwell on the record.” Dante backed his ex-wife’s reporting: “She dots her i’s, crosses her t’s.”
