Wednesday, October 14, 2026 episode (CBS). Joe is alive, he has filed a police report, and Detective Burrow wants Nick in. Nick’s answer to Adam was blunt: “After I beat him up, I took his drugs and I flushed them down the toilet.” Adam’s reply was just as telling: “Nick, I want to believe you.” Here is every step since Marie’s overdose, with dates — and who has heard which version.
The timeline
Wednesday, September 30. Marie is found at the motel after overdosing again and is hospitalized. The family tells Nick together at the ranch. Nick: “I had no idea she was struggling so much.” Outside, alone, he mutters, “Damn you, Joe. You’re a dead man.” Later Joe — Nick’s old dealer — strolls into Crimson Lights and says he saw Marie earlier; Sharon throws him out. Nick snaps at Sharon to stop playing “therapist,” then apologizes (Soap Central).
Thursday, October 1. Nick storms into Crimson Lights asking whether Joe came back. Sharon urges him to call the police and tells Adam that Nick is hunting his dealer as revenge. Nick insists he is not a vigilante (Soap Central).
Friday, October 2. Nick says he set up a sting with Detective Burrow, but “it got heated” — and shows bruised knuckles. He tells Victor, Nikki and Adam that he punched Joe and Joe ran off; Victor orders security to tell the police Nick was not at the ranch. To Burrow, Nick admits he “may have hit the dealer more than once”; Burrow warns him not to take matters into his own hands — “if you haven’t already.” The closing flashback shows what he left out: Nick beat Joe unconscious in an alley (Soaps.com, Soap Central). That week he also accepts Jack as his sponsor (Soap Central).
Tuesday, October 6. Nikki confronts Nick at Crimson Lights — she knows he beat the dealer — and asks, “Is he still alive?” Nick says Joe took off. His flashback shows something else: he took Joe’s stash and pocketed it. In the final scene he pulls them out and fights the urge to use (Soaps.com).
Tuesday, October 13. At the ranch, Nick tells Victor that he and Adam met with Burrow. Victor warns him “not to do anything that will endanger his recovery”; Nick asks his father to trust him (Soaps.com).
Wednesday, October 14. Adam brings the news: police found Joe alive, Joe says Nick beat him and left him in an alley, and Burrow wants Nick for questioning. Nick says he took the stash to get it “off the streets” and flushed it: “You are now the cool, calm voice of reason, and I am the loose cannon.” At the ranch, Adam repeats the flush story to Victor. Victor: “Did he tell you he wasn’t tempted?” Adam: “I’m pretty confident that he didn’t use” (Soaps.com, Soap Central).
Who knows which version
- Adam — heard the “Joe ran off” story on October 2 and the “I flushed them” story on October 14. Says he believes him.
- Victor — got both versions second-hand from Adam; covered for Nick on October 2; the one asking whether Nick was tempted.
- Nikki — knows Nick beat Joe and asked if he was alive (October 6). On screen, nobody has told her about the stash.
- Detective Burrow — has Joe’s report plus Nick’s own “more than once” admission.
- Joe — alive, talking, and (per Nick) denying he ever sold drugs.
- Sharon — knew about the revenge plan on October 1; the recaps show no one telling her about the drugs.
- Jack — Nick’s sponsor, not yet shown hearing either story.
- The audience — the only ones who saw Nick pocket the stash. Nobody on screen has seen him flush anything.
What’s next
Soaps.com’s teaser for Thursday, October 15 says only that “Victor stays one step ahead of Victoria.” Soap Opera Digest says Detective Burrow “will share scenes with both Joshua Morrow (Nick) and Mark Grossman (Adam)” this week.
So — do you believe Nick flushed Joe’s drugs, or is Victor right to ask about temptation?
