Young and the Restless: Johnny and Katie Abbott Return for Billy and Sally's Wedding — Their First Episodes Since Christmas Eve, Plus Every Confirmed Guest

Casting update for Friday, October 16 and Monday, October 19, 2026.

Billy Abbott marries Sally Spectra on CBS this Friday, and two faces viewers have not seen all year are back for it: his children. Here is what the reliable outlets have confirmed about the wedding episodes, who is in the room, and the one arrival nobody will name.

Johnny and Katie are back — first time since December 24

Soap Opera Digest reports that Paxton Mishkind (Johnny Abbott) and Sienna Mercuri (Katie Abbott) return to The Young and the Restless on Friday, October 16 and Monday, October 19 for Billy and Sally’s wedding. Digest notes the pair were last on screen in the December 24, 2025 episode — nearly ten months ago.

Mishkind confirmed it himself on Instagram: “Ready for the big wedding on @youngandrestlesscbs, Friday 10/16 and Monday 10/19!”

For newer viewers: Johnny was played by twins Holden and Ryan Hare before Mishkind took over in September 2022; Katie was played by twins Reese and Kennedy Staib as a baby, with Mercuri in the role since 2016. Johnny is Billy’s son with Chelsea, adopted by Victoria; Katie is Billy and Victoria’s daughter.

The guest list, as published

TVLine’s first look (October 13) puts the ceremony at the Genoa City Athletic Club, made over in a “Great Gatsby” Jazz Age style, with the main event on Friday and the finale on Monday — which TVLine calls “shocking.” Per TVLine, the guests include Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson), Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland), Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway), Lily Winters (Christel Khalil), Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn), Lauren Fenmore (Tracey Bregman) and Michael Baldwin (Christian Le Blanc). Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) is Sally’s maid of honor, and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) is a bridesmaid — TVLine adds that Chelsea hopes her boyfriend Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) does not cause trouble with the groom.

Soap Opera Digest’s Comings & Goings column for the week adds that Ashley is “a prominent figure on the Abbott front,” that Traci airs Thursday and Friday in connection with the wedding, that Abby attends her uncle’s wedding, and that Coco Spectra (Ashley Campbell), Sally’s younger sister, airs again this week as the wedding approaches. Digest lists no Y&R departures for the week.

The name nobody will confirm

Soaps.com’s Friday spoiler reads: “Sally and Billy’s family and friends gather for the epic wedding,” with “the arrival of a surprise guest” as the day’s twist. No outlet has said who it is.

And then there is Victoria. On Thursday’s CBS episode, the night before the wedding, Billy’s ex-wife and the children’s mother was not at the rehearsal dinner. She was in bed with Kyle Abbott at the pied-à-terre, took Victor’s Japan video call under a blanket, and when her father asked where she was, answered, “I’m at a friend’s place.” Victor’s follow-up: did this have anything to do with “that punk Abbott?” Whether Victoria walks her children into her ex-husband’s wedding — or stays away — is not something any casting report has confirmed. It is a question, not a spoiler.

What’s next

Per Soaps.com, Friday is the wedding itself with the surprise guest. Per TVLine, the ceremony concludes Monday, October 19 with a “shocking” finale. Digest says Johnny and Katie appear on both days.

Your call: Billy’s kids are in the room. Should their mother be there too — or is Victoria right to keep her distance from Billy’s wedding?
