Recap of the CBS episode that aired Tuesday, October 27, 2026.
Monday ended with Billy knocking on Victoria’s London door while Kyle was inside. Tuesday answered the question everyone asked: how does she get out of this? The answer is a lawyer who does not exist, a set of candles, and a Kyle whose lips had turned blue by the time Billy finally said good night.
“Are you going to invite me in?”
Victoria opened the door and froze: “Billy. What are you doing here?” Billy said he had come by earlier but she “weren’t around”; she claimed she had “took a walk.” After a long pause he asked, “Are you going to invite me in?” Inside, he took a call from Snapper about Jill — “when she does wake up… tell her that I love her” — and told Victoria the doctor said “the first 48 hours are the most crucial after a heart surgery like that.” Then he looked at the table: “Someone was hungry. And thirsty. So, you were entertaining when I came by earlier.”
The cover story, word for word
Victoria’s explanation: “A local lawyer who I’m working with to close this deal. So, she came by and we were just having some snacks and some drinks and, you know, just talking shop.” Billy: “By candlelight.” Victoria: “Oh, I know, right? They’re beautiful. Yeah, she brought them as a gift and we just… decided to light them.” She said she had just walked the lawyer down to the lobby and was coming back up to clean up when he arrived. Billy let it go, looked around and said, “Not a lot has changed since I was here last, you know, when we were married.” Victoria: “I remember. I haven’t blocked out all of our time together.”
Billy stayed. And stayed.
What was meant to be a quick visit turned into Billy unloading about Jill, Cane (“surprisingly supportive”), Johnny and Katie, and the guilt of leaving Sally and Ruby: “No one can replace me in their lives.” Victoria told him he felt guilty “because you’re not there, and you weren’t there when Sally gave birth,” and he admitted, “I feel guilty about both of those things.” He said he would wait out the next 48 hours and, if Jill stayed on the upswing, go “back to my wife and baby as soon as I can.” Then came the moment Victoria clearly dreaded: Billy wandered toward the window — “I forget how amazing this view is” — and she cut him off: “No, Billy, wait… How about a drink?” She finally invented “a business call in a few minutes with the States,” and Billy took the hint, thanking her for listening. Her parting line: “I have a good feeling about Jill. So, don’t worry.”
The balcony
The door shut, Victoria exhaled “Oh my god,” and went outside. Her first words to Kyle: “Your lips are blue. I thought you might be hiding out here.” Victoria: “You’re going to freeze to death.” Kyle, deadpan: “Yeah, don’t worry. Frostbite will only start to set in.” Victoria: “Oh my god, you poor baby.” Back inside he asked, “What the hell took Billy so long?” Victoria: “I didn’t feel like I could rush him out of here… given everything that’s going on with Jill.” Kyle said he could not hear much over the wind, “but from what I could hear, it sounded like he needed a shoulder to cry on.” Victoria offered tea and a blanket; Kyle said he could “think of a more energy-efficient way to get my body temperature up,” and the episode left them kissing.
Why this matters
Victoria and Billy are divorced co-parents of Johnny and Katie; Kyle is Jack’s son and the ex-husband of Victoria’s niece Summer. Monday’s episode, per Soaps.com, had Billy nearly catching the two of them in London for the first time, and Tuesday was the first time Victoria had to lie to Billy’s face about it. Billy did not challenge the lawyer story — but he did say the word “candlelight” out loud.
What’s next
Soaps.com’s “next on” line for Wednesday says Victor gives Phyllis an ultimatum.
Did Billy believe the lawyer story, or did he just decide not to ask? And should Victoria have told him the truth instead of leaving Kyle out in the cold?
