Kimberly McCullough Celebrates Stunning General Hospital Milestone

General Hospital star Kinberly McCullough celebrated a milestone moment with a little help from a fan. The actress made her GH debut as Robin Scorpio 40 years ago.

A Blast From The Past

On September 6, 1985, Robert (Tristan Rogers, who died recently) walked into his house to find an adorable little girl waiting for him. McCullough was only seven years old when she took on the role of Robert and Anna’s (Finola Hughes) daughter, Robin.

McCullough used Instagram Stories to reshare a memory from her GH debut that a fan posted. The fan acknowledged it had been 40 years since McCullough joined the ABC soap.

“Goodness. Tristan and I,” was all McCullough wrote on her social media share.

The actress was referring to her first scene with Rogers, which was also shared on X to mark McCullough’s milestone on GH. Robert walks in to find a little girl standing in his living room.

“Who are you?” Robert asked. “My name is Robin,” the little girl responded.

It’s a classic soap moment for sure! As Soap Hub reported, it was also one of Rogers’ top five moments on GH.

No More Robin

McCullough literally grew up on GH, which is a rarity in the soap world, especially back in the day. She left in 2001 to pursue other projects. The actress returned in 2004 until 2013, when Patrick (Jason Thompson) and Robin moved to California.

Since then, McCullough has made a couple of guest appearances on the ABC soap. The last time GH fans saw Robin on-screen was in 2021 when Robin was part of the goodbye to Sean Donely following John Reilly’s death.

These days, McCullough has traded in acting for director life, and she’s been killing it. The Conners, The Bold Type, One Day at a Time, and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia are just a few of the TV shows McCullough has directed.
