After surviving the Five Poppies fiasco with Jason, Britt is back in Port Charles on September 11 — and her return is already stirring up trouble on General Hospital. She previously was believed to have died at the hands of The Hook, and now faces a new reality: old betrayals, complicated family ties, and revealing what she’s been up to. Kelly Thiebaud recently shared what’s coming up as Britt reinvents herself and steps into an intriguing and emotion-filled new storyline.

Picking Up the Pieces

Seeing Jason (Steve Burton) again is a challenge for Britt (Thiebaud), who still carries scars from their past. Thiebaud admitted to Soap Opera Digest, “I think it’s going to be really hard for her,” adding that their connection makes it easy for sparks to reignite. She explained that Britt hasn’t forgotten that Jason dumped her so he could marry Carly (Laura Wright) to keep Sonny’s (Maurice Benar) organization together. That made Britt feel like she wasn’t Jason’s priority, and while she still has feelings for him, this time around, she’s not going to be quick to repeat mistakes of the past.

Complicating things further is Carly herself. “There’s going to be a lot of tension there,” she explained, adding, “A lot of tension! We’re not gonna be BFF, that’s for sure.” While she joked that she doesn’t want to “slap anyone,” the rivalry between Britt and Carly is far from settled. Fans should expect fireworks whenever the two women cross paths. (Learn why Thiebaud felt Jason and Britt’s reunion was difficult.)

Family Drama and Lingering Secrets

Britt’s return also reopens wounds with her mother, Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati). Having kept her survival a secret, Britt will now have to earn back her mother’s trust. Thiebaud confessed that drama is inevitable, but she’s thrilled to reunite with Gati, calling her on-screen mom “such a light” and a vital part of Britt’s comeback.

“She is such a light, and I don’t think they could have brought Britt back without Kathleen!” she gushed, continuing, “I think the fans would have been so disappointed if she wasn’t there, so I’m really glad that worked out.” For Thiebaud, Britt’s journey kind of mirrored her own personal journey, and both now have a fresh start. “Dancing Through Agony”: Kaitlyn Bristowe ADMITS She’s STILL Tormented by DWTS Injuries, Revealing Sleepless Nights, Tears Behind Closed Doors, and the Emotional Toll That Almost Broke Her

Kaitlyn Bristowe, 40, has said she is “still suffering years later” from injuries she sustained while on Dancing With The Stars.

The Canadian TV personality won season 29 of the show in 2020 and was partnered with Artem Chigvintsev. However, she has explained that her win didn’t come easily, citing one piece of advice she’d urge any new contestant to follow.

Speaking on Tori Spelling’s misSPELLING podcast about her tips for season 34’s contestants, Kaitlyn said, “I just would have said, don’t injure yourself. That was like my main focus was to stop getting injured all the time.” Kaitlyn isn’t the only one who has struggled on DWTS, with pro Daniella Karagach admitting she danced with injuries last season.

Continuing, Kaitlyn explained that she is “still suffering years later from cracked ribs and pulling a muscle that was under my ribs, and my tendonitis will flare up every time I wear heels now.”

The 40-year-old, who is best known for her time on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, additionally said her injuries were completely worth it as she ended up winning her season. Kaitlyn even went as far as declaring, “I’ll do it again.”

Kaitlyn also explained that “it would be scary to know how much work and injury you go through to get to the end. Like, it’s crazy to get to the end.”

“It’s crazy because one of my girlfriends had won it from the season before,” the TV star told Tori, referring to Hannah Brown, who won DWTS season 28.

“I was like, ‘Why did you not prepare me?’ And she was like, ‘I don’t think people should prepare them, because then they won’t do it.’”

However, this is not the first time Kaitlyn has spoken about the toll Dancing With The Stars had on her body, as during the show itself in 2020, she told producers that she may have to quit due to an ankle injury. Although, despite this, Kaitlyn and Artem scored 22/30 for their foxtrot that week.

Dancing With The Stars season 34 premieres live on September 16 on ABC and Disney+.
