It’s a classic love story: a handsome, rich man falls for a beautiful, smart, but down-on-her-luck woman. They save each other and live happily ever after, just like Richard Gere and Julia Roberts. This appeared to be Michael (Rory Gibson) and Jacinda’s (Paige Herschell) fairytale, but that may be too easy.
Michael needs Jacinda for his alibi at the time of Drew’s (Cameron Mathison) shooting. Believable or not, the two claim to have been together on the night in question, so there is no way Michael could have tried to kill Drew. Jacinda was willing to lie for him, but when the two began to have feelings for each other, it became that much easier. If Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) is convicted, her ex walks away with his freedom and their children…and Jacinda?
Tracy Is A Smart Lady
When Tracy (Jane Elliott) met Jacinda, she immediately sensed that something was amiss. Normally, Tracy would have taken issue with the former sex worker, believing she was up to no good. However, she believes that Jacinda is the victim and Michael is manipulating her.
The Q matriarch told her great-nephew how she felt and insisted he be honest with his new girlfriend. Michael denied the charges and claims that his feelings are real, but Tracy wasn’t buying it. She has been played many times in her life and can spot it a mile away.
Plus, Gibson as Michael seems a little sneakier than the old version. He may be using Jacinda for an alibi, or he may truly care for her. The jury is still out.
