General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that trouble could be brewing for Carly Spencer (Laura Wright). Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) was recently taken into WSB custody and hauled off to Steinmauer, but Carly could be next after new proof points in her direction.
The evidence against Nina is obviously pretty flimsy at this point.
Agent William Baines (Alimi Ballard) was adamant about locking Nina up, but that doesn’t mean she’ll remain a prisoner indefinitely.
It’s true that Nina threatened to destroy Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) during a confrontation that Carly and others witnessed at the Metro Court Gardens.
Thanks to Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison), Brennan’s wallet was also found in Nina’s car.
However, GH fans know the WSB doesn’t even have proof that Brennan is deceased yet.
It doesn’t seem right that Nina was thrown in Steinmauer when the evidence against her is so weak.
Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) urged Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) to make herself indispensable to the WSB if she wanted to free Nina.
Willow asked Baines what the bureau needed from her to bring Nina back to Port Charles immediately, but she hasn’t received an answer yet.
That’s why Willow may try alternative methods to make sure Nina scores her freedom.
Ava Jerome (Maura West) just planted the idea that Carly might’ve been behind Nina’s frame-up, so Willow may run with that eventually.
Perhaps Willow will make it her mission to convince Baines that Carly set Nina up and that Carly actually made Brennan disappear herself.
Willow might even find a way to frame Carly with some manufactured or misleading evidence of her own.
Plus, a big clue could point in Carly’s direction once Brennan’s body is inevitably found.
A bracelet with a “C” engraving is attached to Brennan’s sleeve, so that’s probably going to earn Carly some suspicions and accusations.
That bracelet belongs to Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke), but Baines may assume it belongs to Carly instead.
Once the story shifts and Carly lands at the top of the suspect list, Baines may let Nina walk free and arrest Carly next!
