On Wednesday’s General Hospital, Lulu Spencer heard Lucas say the words that could blow Port Charles’ biggest cover-up wide open: two healthy men, strokes in the same house within six months, both locked in, both fully recovered. “I’d say a million to one.”
Viewers have known for months that Drew Cain’s “stroke” was no accident. Here is everyone who knows the truth, in the order they found out — and why Lulu may be the most dangerous person in town right now.
1. Willow — the one who did it
Willow kept Drew locked in his own body by injecting him with a paralytic drug. In April she told her mother flatly: “Drew did not have a stroke” — she had been injecting him with a paralytic supplied by Jenz Sidwell (Michael Fairman TV, April 14).
2. Jenz Sidwell — the one who supplied it
In February, Sidwell stood over Drew’s bed and bragged: “I know that Willow put you in this bed. In fact, she couldn’t have done it without me.” He described a paralytic that mimics a stroke and is undetectable (Michael Fairman TV, Feb. 27).
3. Nina — the one Willow trapped
Willow tricked Nina into giving Drew an injection she believed was pain medication, then kept the syringe with Nina’s fingerprints on it. Once Willow confessed, Nina was horrified — “It’s one thing to shoot Drew but another to keep him trapped inside his own body!” — but the syringe gave Willow leverage to keep her quiet (Soap Opera Digest).
4. Jack Brennan — the one they needed
By July, Willow and Nina were discussing Drew’s returning mobility, his growing tolerance to the drug and their dwindling supply. Willow said they would need Brennan’s help to keep Drew silent about “what they’ve done” (SheKnows, July 9). Brennan’s own “stroke” — and his near-overnight recovery — is exactly what Lulu just tied to Drew.
5. Drew — the one who lived it
Drew heard Sidwell’s confession while unable to speak. Now he’s walking, talking — and agreeing to sit down with Lulu for a “comeback story,” even signing a HIPAA waiver so she can talk to his doctors.
The one closing in: Lulu
Lulu doesn’t know any of the above. But she now has the shared house, the shared diagnosis, the board of health visit, and Elizabeth’s comment that Willow was “there every step of the way.” Back in July, Elizabeth herself suspected a toxin rather than a stroke. Thursday’s spoilers say Lulu’s latest article “causes a stir” (Entertainment Now).
Your turn: Who cracks first — Nina, Sidwell, or Drew himself?
