An explainer for The Bold and the Beautiful viewers after the episode of Monday, October 12, 2026.
“She probably is innocent,” Ridge said of Dylan on Monday. Seconds later he told her: “Pack your stuff. You’re fired.” Electra and R.J. wanted her gone. Zende swore she had only passed on a message. So what did Dylan actually do? Here is the record, date by date.
The timeline
September 28 — Katie’s request. Zende is not answering Hope’s messages, so Katie asks Dylan to speak to him. Katie: “I want Zende Forrester right here at Logan.” Dylan: “You want me to help you steal another Forrester?!” Soaps.com’s recap notes Katie frames it as a first step toward accepting her as Will’s girlfriend.
October 1 — Zende sees through it. Dylan keeps pressing him to talk to Hope, and Zende works out that Katie put her up to it.
October 2 — the push, and the admission. Dylan urges him to reach out to Hope and get it off his chest. Zende guesses she is doing this for Katie because of Will. According to Soaps.com, Dylan admits it would score her some points — but says he should do it for himself. He goes to Logan (“You wanted to talk? Here I am”), and Katie makes her move: “Come here. Come to Logan.”
October 8 — Electra overhears. Soap Central reports that Electra heard Zende thank Dylan for setting up the meeting. She takes it straight to Eric and Ridge: “Dylan isn’t loyal.”
October 9 — the warning. Electra tells Eric and Ridge that Dylan “put this idea into his head,” then asks Dylan: “Are you scared for your job?” Zende gives his notice.
October 12 — the firing. Eric talks Zende into staying, promising he will be lead designer of the new line. Dylan’s defence to Electra: “All I did was tell Zende to talk to Hope. That’s it. I never once suggested he leave Forrester.” Electra: “You’re sorry you got caught.” At Logan, Will explains that his mother “has recruited Dylan to speak to Zende for them.” In the CEO’s office Electra argues, “Her allegiance is not to Forrester, it’s to Logan,” while Zende insists Dylan “was simply relaying a message from Hope and Katie.” Ridge’s ruling: “She probably is innocent… But the fact is you got involved with Katie and with Hope. We’re at war with these people and you know that.” At best, he says, it was really poor judgment; at worst, a betrayal of the family that gave her a place to land.
The case for and against Dylan
For: No scene shows her telling Zende to quit. Zende says she never did — and even Ridge calls her probably innocent.
Against: She knew from day one what Katie wanted; “steal another Forrester” were her own words. She admitted it would score her points with Will’s mother. And the meeting she pushed for ended in a job offer from the company Forrester is at war with.
Why Ridge is in no mood
Ridge spelled it out to R.J. on Monday: “They took my dad, then Hope. Now they want Zende.” Eric went to help Katie launch Logan in the January 13 episode before returning to Forrester. Hope signed with Logan on May 25. Will, fired from Forrester for punching R.J., joined Logan on June 3.
What’s next
Soaps.com’s spoilers for Tuesday: “Zende, at the tipping point in his decision-making, gives Ridge an ultimatum.” Wednesday: “Will expresses his true feelings for Dylan.” Whether Ridge’s decision stands has not been reported.
Your turn: Fair firing — or did Dylan just pay the price for Katie’s war?
