Recap of The Bold and the Beautiful, CBS, Tuesday, October 13, 2026.
Zende quit Forrester Creations on Tuesday and left with Dylan. What happened in the CEO’s office in the sixty seconds after the door closed is the part fans are fighting about tonight — because Ridge didn’t blame himself, or Zende, or even Dylan. He blamed Katie. Here is every line, plus what Katie was saying about the Forresters at the exact same time across town.
The room after Zende left
Eric: “What the hell just happened?” Ridge: “Dylan had to go. It wasn’t debatable.” R.J.: “I don’t know why Zende had to make a big deal about it.” Electra: “Because she made him feel bad for her, just like she did to Will.”
Eric wanted to chase him — “Look, he’s quitting. We have to stop it.” Ridge told him to give Zende a second to cool down. Eric pushed back: “He quit, Ridge. He doesn’t feel supported here.” Ridge’s answer: “What did he think was going to happen? Dylan works for Logan now, right? She’s a liability.”
Electra: “I tried to warn you”
Electra took her victory lap. “I tried to warn you. I told you Dylan has no loyalty to anyone but herself. She will do anything and hurt anyone to get what she wants.” R.J.’s contribution was pure business: “Well, at least we didn’t fill her in on the new collection.”
Eric wasn’t having it. “This isn’t about Dylan. This is about my grandson, and he expected me to support him, and he felt abandoned.”
Ridge: “It’s Katie’s playbook”
Ridge cut across his father: “No, it’s not about your grandson. It’s about Katie. It’s her playbook, the same one she used with you and Hope. She’s poaching from us again.” Eric’s reply — “Well, not if I have anything to say about it” — sent him out the door after Zende. Ridge: “Where are you going?” Eric: “I’m going to stop him if I can.” (He didn’t. Zende hugged him at the elevator, said “I’m going to miss you, Grandad,” and left.)
Meanwhile at Logan: “Loyalty is a one-way street”
Across town, Katie, Hope, Will and Deke were processing Zende turning down their offer — not knowing that Dylan was being fired. Katie refused to call it a loss: “No worried faces here. This is not a setback. It’s just a change of plans.” But she was blunt about the Forresters: “Over there, loyalty is a one-way street. They expect it from you, but they don’t offer anything in return. I have a feeling Zende is going to find out the hard way.” Later: “Mostly, I’m worried about Zende. He’s choosing to believe Eric and Ridge when they tell him that he is a viable, important part of the company. But they’ve made promises to him before. They never follow through. My gut tells me that it’s only a matter of time before his family lets him down.”
Katie also said the part that makes Ridge’s “poaching” charge sting: “I just wish he was able to stand up for himself, walk out the door like we did.” Hope added that it “breaks my heart that Zende doesn’t get a chance to be a part of it.” Within the hour, Zende had done exactly what Katie wished for — and told Ridge, “Logan made a good offer. I’m going to take it.”
So who is right?
Ridge’s case: Katie has now pulled Eric (briefly, in January), Hope (May 25), Will (June 3) and Dylan out of his building, and she admitted on September 28 that she wanted “Zende Forrester right here at Logan.” Katie’s case: nobody poached Zende — Ridge fired the one colleague who stood up for him, minutes after promising him “all the support I could ever ask for,” and Zende left on his own words: “This is R.J. and Electra’s domain. I’m never going to get a fair shot here.”
What’s next
Soaps.com’s preview says “big news” is about to hit the House of Logan. Soap Central ends its recap asking whether Zende and Dylan are gone for good and whether Hope and Zende will reunite at Logan Designs. Nothing further has been confirmed.
Your call: Is Katie poaching — or is Ridge driving his own designers out the door? And did Electra and R.J. just win, or just lose Forrester its best young designer?
