Bold and the Beautiful: Finn Is Coming Home Early — 7 Things He Still Doesn't Know About Steffy and Carter

Updated Wednesday, October 14, 2026. Finn has been away on a work trip, and the spoilers for Thursday, October 15 say Steffy panics when he tells her he is coming home early. Here is everything that happened while he was gone — with dates and exact lines.

1. Steffy spent the night with Carter — on the sofa in Eric’s office

It started in Monaco. On Friday, August 14, Steffy came home alone after Sheila turned up on Finn’s flight. She told Carter: “Sheila showed up. They flew together. Finn and his Birth Mother.” Then, in tears: “Finn and I are done.” Carter had just been left by Daphne, who put her wedding ring on his desk. They drank whiskey in the Forrester office — and on Tuesday, August 18, Steffy woke up unclothed on the office couch with Carter at the other end. Her first words: “We shouldn’t have done this. Oh my God, I shouldn’t have done this!”

2. Carter begged her to keep it from Finn — and she did

On August 28, Finn came home, confessed his contact with Sheila and asked for “a fresh start, with complete honesty from that day forward.” Steffy hugged him and said “I love you!” — while, in her head, she heard Carter pleading: “Don’t tell Finn!” Finn’s fresh start began with one secret already inside it.

3. She has been pregnant since September 10

After a dinner with Carter and Daphne left her nauseous, Steffy bought a home test and hid it until Finn left for work. Two tests, two positives. “It has to be wrong. It has to be wrong…” — and then: “Oh my God! Oh my God! I’m pregnant!”

4. The first person she told was Carter, not her husband

On September 11 Steffy burst into the Forrester office saying she had to tell Finn “now more than ever!” Carter argued that confessing would tear their lives apart. Steffy’s reply: “You’re wrong.” Then: “I’m pregnant.” Finn still has not heard those two words.

5. On screen, Steffy has told Carter the baby is his

Soap Central’s October 7 recap notes that Steffy’s flashback shows her telling Carter the baby is his, not Finn’s. Soap Opera Digest has raised the possibility that Finn could be the father — but nothing on screen has said so. As far as the two people in the secret are concerned, this is Carter’s child.

6. The surrogacy Finn vetoed is now “officially” happening — as a cover story

On September 23, when Steffy said she would donate her eggs and carry Carter and Daphne’s baby, Finn answered: “You’re kidding, right?” He said other women could do it and that she simply could not — “You know that, right?” Then he left on his trip. On October 1 Carter pushed Steffy to tell Daphne the embryo transfer was already done: “It has to be now.” Steffy asked the question that matters this week: “What am I supposed to say when he comes home and finds out?” The next day, with Daphne standing in the doorway, Carter announced it anyway: “Steffy is our surrogate.”

7. Daphne believes it — and already knows Finn was kept out

On October 5 Daphne cried, “My husband and my best friend!” at the secrecy, then forgave them. On October 7 she hugged Steffy — “I’m so incredibly grateful” — and celebrated with Carter in Eric’s office, on the very sofa where the baby was conceived. In the same episode Daphne learned from Carter that Finn never knew Steffy would be a surrogate and donor. When Finn walks in, a third person now holds something he has never heard.

What’s next

Michael Fairman TV’s preview for the week: Thursday, October 15 — “Steffy panics when Finn tells her he’s returning home early.” Friday, October 16 — “Steffy debates telling Finn the truth.” Nothing from a reliable source says he learns the truth this week.

Your call: If Steffy tells Finn everything the moment he walks in, does he forgive her — or is the baby the one thing he can’t get past? And is Carter the real villain here for turning a secret into a surrogacy?
