General Hospital explainer · Wednesday, October 14, 2026, before today’s episode
On Tuesday’s General Hospital (Oct. 13), Trina and Gio finished their set at the Cat’s Eye Lounge — and a bouquet of red roses was waiting backstage. The card: “From your biggest fan.” Kai wasn’t the sender. Here’s the full trail of clues so far, and the case for and against every name in play.
The clue timeline
- Early August: The show cut from Quinn straight to a bulletin board covered in pictures of Trina, SheKnows Soaps reported. In the same episode, music executive Simon told Brook Lynn he planned to package Trina and Gio as “hopelessly in love” — and that Kai “was in the way.” The episode ended with the stalker editing Kai out of a photo.
- September: Simon watched one of Trina’s performances and left soon after, Soap Hub noted. GH’s writers previewed that the stalker storyline would escalate: “Kai is true blue and will step up to defend her — but his closeness to Trina may prove detrimental to his health” (Soap Central fall preview).
- Oct. 13: Before the show, Quinn arrived and said: “As soon as I saw that postcard, I knew I had to be here.” Then he asked Kai: “Tell me the truth, right? It doesn’t bother you how close Gio and your amazing girlfriend are.” Kai: “Not at all. No, they’re just friends.”
- Oct. 13, after the set: The roses arrived. Kai: “I wish I could take credit.” Trina: “These aren’t from you?” Kai: “No. I’m sorry.”
Suspect #1: Quinn
Why fans suspect him: Kai’s former college teammate, who had a falling out with Trina, keeps turning up. In August the camera cut from him straight to the photo board, and on Tuesday he quizzed Kai about Trina and Gio.
Why it may be a fake-out: SheKnows Soaps argued the show worked “that hard to make us suspect Quinn” that “it almost can’t be him.”
Suspect #2: Simon Craft
For: He wanted Trina and Gio sold as a couple and called Kai “in the way” — and the stalker literally removed Kai from a picture.
Against: Soap Hub and SheKnows both suggested he may be another red herring.
Fan theories (unconfirmed)
- Spencer: Presumed dead, but some fans and SheKnows Soaps wonder whether he could return fixated on Trina. Nothing on screen confirms this.
- Emma: A Soap Hub theory floated jealousy over Trina’s time with Gio. On Tuesday, Emma was moving in with Gio and cheering Trina on.
What Trina’s actress says
Tabyana Ali told Michael Fairman TV: “The crazy thing is that everybody knows who it is except for me! They’re keeping that secret from me.” She said “I think everybody thought it could have been Quinn, or could have been Simon,” but that felt “too easy” — and she’d personally “love for it to be Spencer.”
What’s next
This week’s preview (via ComingSoon) shows Trina’s car won’t start. Someone knocks on the window: it’s Quinn, asking “Car trouble?” — and Trina is startled.
