General Hospital explainer · Thursday, October 15, 2026, before today’s episode
WSB agent Jack Brennan turned up dead in the Metro Court pool on the September 1 episode. Six weeks later, Nina has been taken away in handcuffs for it, the body is gone, and on Wednesday Joe Fitzpatrick told Lucas he wants to know what happened to Brennan and whether Willow was involved (Soap Central). GH has not shown how Brennan died. Here is who knows what, based on what has aired so far.
1. Ava: she knows the most
According to The Soap Scene’s recap of that week, Ava had slipped Brennan a sleeping pill earlier that night, and she fears an autopsy could tie the pill to his death. When she and Drew found the body floating face up, she told him she would take him down with her if she was charged over something he had pushed her into (Michael Fairman TV, Sept. 1).
2. Drew: he moved the body and planted the wallet
Drew and Ava planned to wheel Brennan out in a hotel laundry cart through the service elevator, and The Soap Scene reports they buried him on the Quartermaine property. A flashback on September 16 showed Drew hiding Brennan’s wallet in Nina’s car. On September 17 he admitted it to Ava, who said: “She’s my friend. And you framed her for the murder of a man she cared about” (Soap Central).
3 and 4. Charlotte and Danny: they found him first
The teens found the body, and Danny panicked and told Charlotte they had to leave. Later they realized someone else had moved it. Charlotte’s bracelet was missing, and viewers saw it caught around Brennan’s sleeve in the laundry cart.
5 and 6. Carly and Jason: they know someone was in his room
They found that the hotel’s security system had been switched off. When they got into Brennan’s room he was gone, and Jason could tell someone had searched it. According to Nina, Carly also told the WSB about a public fight Nina had with Jack (Soap Opera Digest, Sept. 16).
7. Nina: she knows she didn’t do it
On September 16 Agent Baines arrested her at the Metro Court for Brennan’s disappearance and possible murder. He showed her the wallet “found under the seat” of her car. Nina insisted Jack had never been in her car, and Baines had her sent to a WSB facility.
8. Willow: the question Joe is asking
Soap Central lists Willow’s on-screen ties to Brennan: she had asked Jack to dig up dirt on Michael, and she knows he kept dirt on Drew in his “black box.” Nothing aired puts her at the Metro Court that night. On Wednesday Lucas brushed Joe off, calling Lulu’s account the word of a convicted criminal on painkillers. Joe replied: “My job is to find the truth.”
Who doesn’t know
The WSB, the PCPD, and most of Port Charles still treat it as a disappearance with Nina as the suspect.
