Recap of The Bold and the Beautiful, Friday, October 16, 2026 (CBS).
Brooke went back to Logan on Friday to try the one thing she had not tried yet: asking. By the end, she had her arms out for a hug and Katie was saying no. Here is the whole exchange — Brooke’s appeal, the moment she brought up their mother and their brother, Katie’s answer about Storm, and the line from Donna that Katie used to close the door.
“Not now. Not ever.”
Katie set the terms before Brooke could finish a sentence. “Let me be very clear. I have no intention of backing down with Logan. Not now. Not ever. Even if it costs us our relationship.” Then: “What relationship? You kicked me out of the family. To you, I’m the enemy.” Brooke denied it — “Katie, I don’t think you’re the enemy. I just can’t accept some of the things that you’ve done” — and said the two of them “really need to end these hostilities between us before it tears us apart permanently.”
Katie would not let her skip the history. “You can’t have it both ways, Brooke. You can’t say I’m not your sister anymore in one breath and then in the next say that you want peace.” She told Brooke to say what she came to say about Zende and leave. Brooke: “Zende should be a Forrester. Not here… You were an integral part of Forrester Creations for many, many years, Katie, and now you want to tear it down. You want to tear me down. Who are you? You’re not the sister that I know and love.”
“The Forrester castoffs are kind of a talented bunch”
Katie’s defence was the same one she gave on Thursday, with a sharper edge. “I’m really not trying to tear Forrester down. I’m merely offering Zende a well-deserved and much-needed opportunity which he chose to take — just like Eric, just like Hope.” Brooke: “You took advantage of Eric and his vulnerabilities, and you would never have Hope and Hope for the Future if you hadn’t stolen her from us.” Katie: “For the love of God, Brooke, for the zillionth time, I didn’t steal Hope.” Brooke brought up the move that hurt her most — Hope, Liam and “my granddaughter Beth” moving into the Spencer estate with Katie and Bill. “That was excruciating for me. It hurts.”
Katie’s reply was cold. “I’m sorry you’re hurting, Brooke. I’m sorry that you feel estranged from your daughter, but honestly, you did this to yourself.” And then the line of the day about Forrester: “Eric felt pushed aside, so he came to me. Hope felt pushed aside, so she came to me. Same thing with Zende. Turns out the Forrester castoffs are kind of a talented bunch.” Brooke: “Katie, this has nothing to do with business. This is all about you taking jabs at me… What are we doing to each other?”
Mom and Storm
Brooke tried family. “It kills me being alienated from you… It makes me sick. Think about Mom. Think about Stormy, our brother.” Katie shut it down: “I am so done with you using our dead mother and our dead brother to try and shame me.” Brooke asked how they would feel watching her. Katie’s answer is the one that will divide fans: “I know exactly how Storm would feel about me, the woman I’ve become, everything I’m doing. He would be proud. And I know that with every piece of my heart. He would be so disgusted with the way you’ve dealt with this situation, making it all about you — your injury, your grievances. No pride for your daughter, no pride for your sister.”
Brooke: “I would love to be proud of you, Katie, but I can’t. Not after everything that you’ve done.” Katie: “What I am doing is I am taking control of my life. I am realizing my hopes and my dreams. I am in the game, Brooke, and I am winning.” Brooke: “You’re creating division, especially with the people that you say that you love. And that isn’t winning, Katie. That is not going to make you happy.”
The hug
Brooke made her last appeal. “Let’s just put all this aside and work through this the way that we used to be able to, because I miss you and I know that you missed me, too.” She stepped in. Katie: “What are you doing?” Brooke: “I’m just trying to give you a hug.” Katie backed away. “Oh, no, no, no, no. What was it that Donna said? Can’t just hug it out. I think she was right about that. Time for you to go, Brooke.” Brooke left. Alone under the Logan sign, Katie wiped her eyes.
Back-story
The night Katie keeps coming back to is on the record: on the July 23, 2026 episode Brooke told Katie she was no longer part of her family after Katie sided with the Spencers (Soaps.com, “Brooke Disowns Katie”). On Thursday Katie told Brooke “I will never back down” (our Oct 15 recap). Storm Logan, the sisters’ brother, died in 2008 so that Katie could receive his heart — which is why Katie invoking him lands the way it does.
What’s next
Soaps.com’s spoilers for the week of October 19 say Brooke feels more disconnected from Katie than ever before (Monday), that Katie confides in Wyatt that she intends to destroy Forrester Creations, not just win the fashion wars (Tuesday), and that Donna hopes her sisters will end their feud (Thursday). CBS’s preview has Katie saying, “I am going to bring Forrester to its knees.”
